This dual channel strip is our recreation of vintage 80's Finnish made MS Audiotron Multimix mixers input and output channels.
MS Audiotron Multimix was a highly regarded console in 80-90's and used mainly at live sound systems in theatres, concert halls and rental companies. Also several recording console variations was made to custom orders. MS Audiotron Multimix consoles were of high-specced broadcast quality, very modular and well designed workhorse equipped with a great preamp design and lush EQ-sections.
Lundahl Transformers were used in and out of these consoles, as in our racked 2-channel versions. 3 transformers per channel strip can go a bit coloured but it does it so nicely that you wouldn't change back to others.
We used most parts of the originals as transformers, potentiometers and switches, re-made new PCB, front plate design, chassis and PSU and mounted all nicely in convenient horizontal position in a 1U rack. Unit includes Lundahl transformers on Mic, Line and Outputs. The EQ is broad and lush sounding Low- and High frequency Baxandall-type with sweepable Mid-filter.
Channel is an exact copy of the original console's signal chain. We used IMQ input module and OMR output module. The OMR module is re-drawn on a new PCB but all the original parts are used.
