The MOTU 8pre FireWire audio interface provides all the essentials for transforming your computer into a robust 24-bit/96kHz digital audio workstation. With 8 microphone/instrument preamps and 8 channels of ADAT optical digital I/O, the 8pre offers versatile connectivity. This flexibility enables you to mix and match condenser and dynamic microphones according to your specific requirements.

- Eight channels of ADAT optical I/O with two sets of optical connectors for seamless integration, providing eight channels of optical digital I/O even at high sample rates (88.2 or 96 kHz).

- Operates as an optical expander, enabling easy connection to any ADAT optical compatible device (another audio interface, a digital mixer, etc.) to seamlessly add 8 additional mic inputs into the mixing environment of the host device.

- Discrete ins/outs with no channel sharing; mic inputs, ADAT optical I/O, headphone out, and main outs are all treated as separate channels.

- CueMix DSP near-zero monitoring system with multiple CueMix DSP mixes for creating different monitor mixes for main outs and headphones, including the option to add send/return loops for outboard gear with no latency.

- Front-panel metering with five-segment meters for all analog inputs and status lights for clock and interface/expander mode.

- Sample-accurate MIDI connectivity allowing you to connect a MIDI controller and/or sound module without the need for a separate interface, ensuring sample-accurate synchronization with supporting software.

- Expandable setup, supporting the addition of extra 8pre, UltraLite, 828, 828mkII, 896, 896HD, or Traveler FireWire interfaces for increased I/O. Alternatively, connect the 8pre optically to any audio interface or mixer supporting ADAT optical I/O.

- Separate TRS main outs and front-panel headphone jack, each equipped with independent volume control.

- SMPTE time code sync via any analog input, and SMPTE time code generation to any analog output.

- Includes drivers for Mac and PC, supporting ASIO, WDM, Wave, GSIF, Core Audio, and Core MIDI. Compatible with popular Macintosh and PC audio software, supporting host-based effects processing.

- 100% compatible with all host-based effects processing in today's popular audio programs.

- Includes AudioDesk full-featured sample-accurate workstation software for Mac, offering recording, editing, mixing, real-time 32-bit effects processing, and sample-accurate sync.

Big shipments inside EU ship via different freight companies, recently mostly via ACE Logistics. Freight forwarders can use different courier companies for deliveries to final destinations.

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
