The Dynaset U311 is a stereol compressor housed in a 1U rack. Its defining feature is a distinctive dual-threshold, dual-slope compression design that sets it apart from conventional models.

U311 offers individual controls for each channel and a stereo link switch. Each channel encompasses two thresholds: one for -30 to 0 dB and another for levels exceeding +12 dB. Additionally, there are two ratio controls, spanning from 1:2 through 1:1 to 4:1, concluding with limiting. The ratio pot features a central 1:1 setting, enabling negative compression below and positive compression above. This facilitates creative effects like breathing, rhythmic pumping, or Transient Designer-like effects. The unit provides extensive control for effortless effect crafting.

The LED meter displays gain reduction from zero at the center point, transitioning between negative and positive compression based on signal and control configurations. While its action is perceptible, the display offers insights into its operation.
