Audio Design Recording ADR P400-RS Autophase Modulation unit

Designed in 1973 the ADR P400 phaser used photocells to control dynamic comb filters, the P400 was the auto phaser rack-mounted stereo version.

The unit offers a completely new approach to phasing: the usual manual control in addition to its unique automatic function. Phasing action is controlled by the signal being processed or from an external signal source. The truly remarkable effect can be identically reproduced
time after time, which makes it deal for recurring or live performances

The unit has been cleaned, Rotary switches replaced; 2 trim pots replaced. Front panel rebuilt.

All front panel controls work with no issues. This unit is unbalanced, although it has XLR connectors. Very interesting phaser with Envelope detector. Makes very unique sounds.

PSU works on 240V. EU power cord included.

US and EU parcels ship via UPS, ETA 1-7 working days from pickup day zero. That also applies to most locations worldwide.

Bigger shipments requiring pallets or custom made crates ship to US, CA, JP, CN, AU and other outside of EU locations via DHL Air Freight, ETA is normally approx. 7-14 working days from pickup day zero.

Big shipments inside EU ship via different freight companies, recently mostly via ACE Logistics. Freight forwarders can use different courier companies for deliveries to final destinations.

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
