The AKG D112 is a professional dynamic bass drum microphone renowned for its ability to handle high sound pressure levels, exceeding 160 dB without distortion.

Its large diaphragm, featuring a low resonance frequency, ensures a solid and powerful response below 100 Hz, making it ideal for capturing the deep tones of kick drums and bass instruments. Additionally, a presence boost at 4 kHz allows the D112 to cut through dense mixes with clarity. The microphone's integrated flexible mount enhances its versatility in various recording and live sound applications.

Beyond kick drums, the D112 is also well-suited for miking bass cabinets and trombones, offering a punchy and precise sound reproduction across a range of low-frequency instruments.
